Terms of Use

These terms govern access to and use of Weakley County Criminal History. Visiting a page, reading its content, or submitting a query through an available search tool signifies acceptance of every condition below. A person who does not agree with these rules should stop using the website.

NO FCRA USE. Weakley County Criminal History is privately operated and has no connection to a local, Tennessee, or federal government agency. It and its advertising partners do not offer services for credit decisions, employment screening, insurance eligibility, tenant screening, or another purpose governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The website is neither a consumer reporting agency nor a private investigation firm.

1. What This Website Is

This is an independent reference resource. It does not keep official criminal records, conduct official checks, retrieve files, or submit forms for a visitor.

Its content routes readers to custodians such as the Weakley County Circuit Court Clerk, Sheriff's Department, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, TDOC, and Tennessee Sex Offender Registry. Tennessee Public Records Act access under Tenn. Code Ann. §§ 10-7-501 through 10-7-518 belongs with the covered government office. TBI dissemination is governed by Tenn. Code Ann. § 38-6-120. Outside search services may also be linked for general research.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the website, a visitor agrees not to:

  • Violate any applicable local, Tennessee, or federal law
  • Threaten, stalk, intimidate, or harass another person
  • Use site information for an FCRA-regulated decision
  • Attempt unauthorized access to the website or its systems
  • Deploy scrapers, bots, or other automated collection tools
  • Disrupt performance or interfere with another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information reached through this website may not be used to discriminate against, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or harass anyone. The same ban applies to data from the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry. That public system exists to support safety awareness, not private retaliation or vigilante conduct. TBI warns that misuse can result in criminal prosecution or civil liability. Tennessee Code §§ 40-39-206 and 40-39-208 govern the centralized public system and criminal penalties within the registry law.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Weakley County Criminal History does not create credit reports, background reports, or consumer reports and is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. The site and its ad partners do not provide a service designed to evaluate a person's credit, work, insurance, or housing eligibility. A visitor must not use site data or linked-tool results to:

  • Make a hiring or termination decision
  • Review a renter or housing applicant
  • Set insurance terms or assess creditworthiness
  • Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or government program
  • Carry out any other activity regulated by the FCRA

An authorized official check must be obtained through TBI or another service that lawfully satisfies the purpose and all FCRA duties.

5. No Legal Advice

Content is general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how Tennessee law, a warrant, charge, conviction, or expungement rule applies to one set of facts. A licensed Tennessee attorney should address advice about an individual matter.

6. No Warranties

The website and all content are supplied "as is." No promise is made that:

  • Information will always be complete, correct, or current
  • The website will remain continuously available
  • Every page will be free from defects or security flaws
  • An outside search tool will return a full or accurate match

Weakley County and Tennessee records can change after a charge is filed, dismissed, corrected, restricted, or expunged. A page or partner result is not an official statement by a court, sheriff, TBI, or any other public agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to government sites, court systems, public legal resources, and independent search services. The operator of each destination controls its content, privacy practices, prices, availability, and terms. Weakley County Criminal History is not responsible for those matters. Review a destination's conditions before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, code, and logos on the website belong to Weakley County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be reproduced, changed, distributed, or used to create another work without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Weakley County Criminal History is not responsible for damages arising from use of the website, including an action taken in reliance on its content or an outside service.

10. Indemnification

A visitor agrees to protect and hold the site harmless from claims, demands, or proceedings caused by that visitor's use of the website or breach of these terms, including related legal costs and fees.

11. Governing Law

Tennessee law governs these terms. Any proceeding connected with use of the website must be brought in a court located within the State of Tennessee.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A new version takes effect when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or ended at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in effect. The affected provision is adjusted only to the degree needed to make it enforceable.
